Miscellaneous research
I have a number of other interests. It is not worth trying to compose an inclusive list, as the list is constantly changing. However, there are two current projects that I am particularly excited about at the moment. One is a collaboration with Francisco Úbeda at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in which we are modeling the evolution of recombination hotspots. The second is a collaboration with Tanmoy Bhattacharya, also at SFI, where we are studying the effects of genetic draft and clonal interference in a model related to within-host HIV evolution.
